Mr. Abdelali Benamour

Born on September 10th, 1941.

Mr. Benamour is holder of a PhD (doctorat d’État) in economic sciences (Paris - Sorbonne, 1968), a DES (Higher studies diploma) (Paris - Pantheon, in 1966) and a BA (Fez and Rabat in 1964) in the same discipline.

While teaching as a professor at the Mohammed V University - Rabat and at Hassan II University - Casablanca (from 1966 to 2001), Mr. Benamour was director of the ISCAE (Advanced institute of trade and corporate administration), from 1971 to 1976.

Mr. Benamour was also a municipal councillor at the Commune of Mâarif then of Aïn Chock - Casablanca (1976 to 1992), and a USFP member of parliament representing Casablanca (1976 to 1981).

He was director of the HEM (Institute of higher studies of management) since 1988, administrator at Bank Al Maghrib (1994-2003), member of the COSEF (1999 - 2005) and president of “Alternatives” Association, of which he has been founding president since 2002.

Mr. Benamour published a number of works, including “Intermédiation financière et développement économique du Maroc” (1968), “La comptabilité nationale marocaine” (1971), “Le Maroc Interpellé ” (1993) and “Repenser l’École’’ (February 2007).

Mr. Abdelali Benamour is married and father of four children.
