Partnership agreement to train Libyan stakeholders on transitional justice and reconciliation

The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) and the Libyan Commission for Fighters Affairs signed on Saturday, the 14th of December 2013 in Marrakech, a partnership agreement train Libyan stakeholders on transitional justice.

The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) and the Libyan Commission for Fighters Affairs signed on Saturday, the 14th of December 2013 in Marrakech, a partnership agreement train Libyan stakeholders on transitional justice.

This agreement was signed by CNDH Chairman, Mr. Driss El Yazami, and the Director General of the Libyan Commission for Fighters Affairs, Mr. Mustapha Abdelwahab. The signature ceremony was held on the sidelines of the award ceremony of the first Human Rights Youth Award, organized by the Regional Human rights Commission of Marrakech.

200 Libyans of eight groups will be concerned by this training. Each group will take part in a 12-day training session. The training will shed light on the theoretical and practical aspects related to the transitional justice process, including the management of the post-conflict issues, national reconciliation, mediation, fairness, accountability, negotiations, etc.

This training program will also shed light on the Moroccan experience in transitional justice. It will around three main points: know-how and concepts, the Moroccan experience and the Libyan experience.
