Mr. Driss El Yazami, CNDH Chairman, and Mr. Abdeladim El Guerrouj, Delegate Minister to the Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, signed on Saturday, the 14th of December 14 2014 in Marrakech, a partnership agreement to promote human rights culture in schools and build capacities of stakeholders in this area.

This agreement was signed on the sidelines of the award ceremony of the 1st Human Rights Youth Award. It encourages schools to teach the values of human rights, particularly within the framework of human rights and citizenship clubs. It also aims at supporting the activities and programs of the clubs set up within schools.

Capacity building for the different stakeholders in the field and strengthening cooperation of the Regional Academies of Education and Training and the Regional Human Rights Commissions are also pillars of this agreement.

The Council and the Ministry have already signed two partnership agreements to promote human rights in schools in 2005 and to support the community reparation program in 2008.
