Laayoune-Smara: Strengthening communication with prisoners
The Regional Human Rights Commission of Laayoune-Smara organizes, on July 19, 2013, a meeting (Ftour – fast-breaking meal in Ramadan) with the prisoners of the local prison of Laayoune. Local human rights activists and local personalities are invited to take part in this meeting.This initiative aims to promote solidarity among and towards prisoners and strengthen communication with and take care of this vulnerable group of citizens.
The Commission of Laayoune-Smara is concerned by the living conditions of prisoners. It responds to their needs and sees to the protection of their rights. It’s also concerned by their training, rehabilitation and reintegration.
