The Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) held on October 11-12, 2008 a seminar on the death penalty. The goal was to open objective, serene and scientific debate on the question of the death penalty according to several approaches: legal, religious, sociological and human rights.

As part of its mission of promoting the human rights culture, in partnership with the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights (OMDH) and with the participation of the Ministry of Justice, the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) organized a training session on November 1-2, 2008 in Sidi Kacem under the theme of "International Conventions and Instruments on Human Rights". This session saw the participation of about thirty activists belonging to twelve local associations operating in various areas: development, environment, culture, etc.

As part of its activities related to the promotion of economic, social and environmental rights, the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) held on October 7, 2008 in Dakhla, south of Morocco, a seminar on "Human Rights and Environment". This meeting is part of the CCDH strategy to deepen the debate on this category of rights in order to specify them in the light of international guidelines and the Moroccan specific context. More than a hundred of participants representing local authorities, regional services, local communes, local associations and the private sector attended the meeting.
